At his farm Finca Costa Rica (don’t be fooled, it’s in Colombia!), Faver Ninco grows several of the most unique, cutting edge coffee varieties in the world. This lot includes:
– Gesha, the long-time favorite of coffee connoisseurs
– Papayo, a somewhat mysterious Colombian variety named for its visual similarity to a tiny papaya
– Wush Wush, a small yield, very fruity variety with Ethiopian origins, and
– Java, a super floral variety originally exported from Ethiopia to Indonesia before being reintroduced to Latin America in the 90s
All these varieties are anaerobically fermented to produce a one-of-a-kind cup full of wild fruity flavor. There are floral aromas, the sweetest citrus flavor possible (think key limes and ripe tangerines), and a mixed berry punch.
